Imagine eating inside a crypt? Well, not exactly but that’s what the red brick wall reminded me while dining in Istanbul at Aheste (@ahestepera) .

Aheste

If this restaurant isn’t in your list, I don’t know what you are waiting for. Located in the lively neighbourhood of Beyoğlu. @stabrizi is the master behind the kitchen that makes all the delicious food. Recently was awarded by the Michelin Guide with the Bib Gourmand category.

A very casual and elegant setting at the same time. The interior design of Aheste amazed me, the tiled floor, the muted red bricks wall gave me a nice ambiance.

Contemporary cuisine with Turkish, Ottoman and Middle Eastern influences. Don’t you love when restaurants offer both a tasting menu and a la carte menu? Well, this is the case with Aheste. And menu version for vegetarians is available.

Everything I ate here was fantastic and very tasty. We chose a la carte men and my personal favourites were the lamb shoulder, the grilled octopus and desserts.

And talking about desserts… of course, I had to order both and I enjoyed them very much. They weren’t super sweet so I liked that a lot. Totally worth it.

Service was on point, super kind and friendly and food arrived quickly to the table.

If you visit Istanbul you should check Aheste for sure.

Mohamad , Wassim and Omar are the three Syrian brothers settled in Dubai that broke all the rules with Orfalis Bros regarding traditional levantine cuisine that recently entered the category of Bib Gourmand. Taste, texture and ingredients makes this culinary experience unique, a tribute to cultural diversity.

Orfalis Bros Bib Gourmand have a minimalist, industrial and casual ambiance. Most likely you will see Mohammad in the dinning hall explaining with pleasure and pride the origin of the dish and making sure everything is on point during your meal.

Every dish have a mix of ingredients from different places in the world, ingredients you wouldn’t mix and match but Mohammed did and blew my mind. How did he came with such genius inventions?

Keep in mind that the menu changes every couple months, so maybe you won’t get to try everything I did.

Remarkable food that made every bite an absolute treat. I recommend trying a bit of everything to get an idea of what you like. The burger is one of my top three burgers in Dubai, you must order it! I found the pide a bit to strong for my taste, it was very intense and a new flavour. But I have tried other pides from the menu and were amazing. You just need to find the one you enjoy.

Make sure you leave room for dessert, they are beautifully made and so good!

I went before the Michelin Guide came to Dubai for the first time and I inmediately knew that it was one of the top restaurants from the city. Really recommend it, I loved the whole concept and experience. I felt that something new and fresh was brought to the table.
